Who are we?
My first memories in life were standing on the seat of a car transport and traveling to faraway places in that truck with my father. I spent most of those younger years following him, my uncles and my grandfathers around while they repaired trucks, cars and machinery. I guess looking at back, it is no wonder that when I got older, vehicles became an obsession with me. When it came time to choose a career it is no wonder that it had to involve vehicles. Since in my family there was no shame in being a tradesman, I decided to become a mechanic or body man. Those were long before the time when the term was changed to technician and the trade became diagnosis and replace. I can thank many of my mentors over the years for helping me learn how vehicles worked, the science behind metal work and tripping that little switch in the mind that makes a person want to know all about the history, the future and the workings of the automobile.
Over the years I managed to gain the status of Red Seal Technician, as well as spending years in the various fields of coach builder, frame & alignment specialist, collision repairer, painter, estimator, body shop manager, body shop owner and independent insurance appraiser.
After spending over half a century in the automotive trade retirement left me bored and that is how it has resulted in me deciding to continue on but as a self employed supplier of those services that the automotive restoration hobby might require.
